Se tieni duro e la fortuna (circostanze+persone) è con te ce la farai, anche se ti tocca aspettare vent’anni; devi perseverare a dispetto di tutto e tutti – “Taglia le mie scene” “Johnny smettila!” “No! lo capisco, tagliale e basta. La fama non era nel mio destino. Ho ricevuto solo il dono di una delirante fiducia in me stesso, ma nessun vero talento” “Vuoi stare zitto?!” // Ma le scene non vengono nemmeno toccate e il film di Vincent viene ultimato e piace; il cast va ai Golden Globe Awards, dove inaspettatamente John – fratello di Vincent, che è da tutti considerato un bravo attore ed è alle prese qui con la sua prima regia – viene candidato come miglior attore non protagonista, grazie al suo piccolo ruolo nel film. Da 20 anni, John persegue la carriera di attore senza riuscirci veramente, senza successo e con parecchie porte chiuse in faccia, mentre il fratello minore sfonda. Il Golden Globe però lo premia, questa volta è sì un attore per tutti e pure premiato! Va al microfono e dopo qualche secondo di silenzio incredulo urla “VITTORIA!!!!”. E tutti esultano altrettanto increduli e gioiosi. Il film, quello vero, si chiude così. Nella vita, la fortuna, detta anche occasione giusta, associata a un team di persone o a qualcuno in particolare che lotta con e per te ed a una propria tenacia personale che non crolla, anche dopo 20 anni ti può dare quello che pensavi di non meritare ed è una bella risposta al mondo intero e una conferma per te. ENTOURAGE è un film travestito da simpatica commediola americana un pò stile teen, con linguaggio volutamente e ironicamente sessista e canoni tipici di un cinepanettone, ma in verità ha sostanza e dà dei messaggi, fa ridere ed è intelligente. Ci si può persino rispecchiare. O almeno può far riflettere, ridendo. Applaudo Kevin Dillon, fratello di Matt, alias John nel film. Voto: 6 ½.

If you hold on to your aim and the luck (circumstances+people) is with you, you’ll make it, though you might be waiting for twenty years; you must keep going despite everyone or everything – “Just cut me out bro” “Johnny stop!” “Look, I get it, just cut me. Good luck wasn’t right for me. I was given the gift of delusional confidence, with any real talent” “You shut up?!” // But the scenes are not even touched and Vince movie succeeds; the cast goes to the Golden Globe Awards night, where John is unexpectedly – his brother Vincent is considered a good actor by everyone and is now in the throes of his directorial debut – nominated as best supporting actor thanks to his small role in the movie. John has been pursuing a career as an actor for 20 years and up to now has never succeeded, many were the doors shut in his face, whilst his younger brother was breaking through. Nevertheless, now the Golden Globe recognizes him, this time he is actor for all and is given an award too! He reaches the stage and the microphone, then after a few seconds of disbelief he cries out of joy “VICTORY!!!!”. All equally exult incredulous and joyful. For the movie, the one I’m watching, that’s it. In life, Luck – you might call it yr right occasion – in association with both a team o people or someone in particular that/who fights with/for you and a personal tenacity that never collapses can offer you, even after 20 years, what you thought you didn’t deserve and it’s a positive answer to the world and to yourself. ENTOURAGE is a film disguised as a nice teen’s style American comedy, with a language that’s ironically sexist and typical features of an Italian Christmas family film. To tell the truth, this smart and amusing movie has also substance and messages to give. Someone could even relate to it. Or at least reflect, while laughing. A plause to fantastic Kevin Dillon, Matt’s brother, who by chance plays John in the film. I rate the movie: 6 ½.
